Even just keeping up with a couple of visits a week could make a difference to your health and fitness.

Walk or Cycle to Lectures

If you live off campus, getting your steps in by walking to lectures is one easy way to make exercise fit nicely into your routine. Ditch the bus in favour of walking into lectures or cycling. This NHS portal details the health benefits of walking.

Sports Clubs

Universities often have hundreds of different sports clubs, so whether it’s something you’ve played all your life or a sport you hadn’t even heard of until you started your studies, Uni is a great opportunity to keep active and socialise at the same time.

And don’t worry about being elite standard! There’s often the opportunity to play a multiple different levels depending on ability and how seriously you want to take it.
