Earning Your Cosmetic Surgery Fix

Have you ever noticed how it’s sometimes even directly suggested that in order for you to get the body of your dreams all you need to do is pretty much just spend money on something? Worse yet, what’s sold to you as an ideal isn’t really even the body of your dreams, but rather the body of the dreams of someone who stands to benefit financially out of your perusal of these “standards” set forth.

Things get exposed further for what they really are when you compare these body appearance standards across different geographic regions and other demographics such as race and even in certain industries. For example, head down to Brazil, South America, particularly to the coastal regions such as Rio de Janeiro and you’ll notice how everybody seems to have firm, round bottoms with toned and sculpted thighs. That’s the standard in that part of the world, but if you watched television depicting shows from the very same region you’ll notice that beauty and body standards seem to be the complete opposite of what is the reality on the ground.

It’s more like if you want to be a TV star you have to adhere to more western standards of beauty, i.e. being stick thin to the point that your breastbone sticks out.

If we shine a spotlight on the modelling industry as well, pretty much the same applies – models are required to have what to me honestly looks a lot like a sickly, unhealthy look while the industry itself perpetuates that as the standard of beauty to be aspired to.

Of course, beauty standards are also made to be quite dynamic so that one can never really achieve the perfect look, but again, it all just comes down to getting you to spend your money.

I led with cosmetic surgery as the subject of this post, but I really meant to refer to it as reconstructive surgery instead of cosmetic surgery. This is because cosmetic surgery is pretty much just a perpetuation of exactly what I’m trying to warn readers against, which is chasing the perfect look as it is advertised by people who are only trying to make money off of you and many others. You need to be sensible and make a decision for yourself. Beauty standards should not be set by what others have or what you see on social media and television channels. Rather it should be something that you feel from inside. However, if you still prefer to get plastic surgery for whatever reason be it, it should be for your own sake. Not because someone asked you to or you saw someone getting it. Keeping that point in mind, you can always reach out to Vancouver plastic surgery experts (or similar ones in your region) and opt for the treatment you desire. But, make sure you are not opting it under any coercion.

Reconstructive surgery on the other hand is the ethical twin sister of cosmetic surgery in that your aim is not really to alter or enhance your body according to what the magazine covers tell you you should look like, but rather trying to get your body back to a state which makes you happy as an individual.

The true champions of ethical and positively reinforcing reconstructive surgery exist in the form of the likes of Naidu Plastic Surgery, with more of a focus on procedures which build up and restore confidence as opposed to trying to emulate unreasonable beauty standards. It’s about looking good in the most natural way possible. For example you won’t be sold something like a breast enlargement service which would have you clearly looking like you have breasts which are about three sizes too big for the natural size of your body frame.
