Having Stomach Issues? This Could Be Your Problem

There are many things that could cause stomach issues, the worst of which being stomach cancer or some other kind of cancer, the least of which could just be a small stomach bug like maybe a mild case of the flu. When it comes to stomach issues, it really depends on what your issue is in order to determine what your actual problem is. That’s why when you experience stomach problems that don’t seem to go away, you really should make an appointment at the a quick care facility and consult a doctor, as it could be something serious.

Food Allergies And Intolerances

Food allergies by becoming far more common and more Foods seem to be added to the table of allergens day by day. Some of the most common include shellfish, wheat, eggs, and dairy. Peanut allergies have seemed to skyrocket, especially in children. Food allergies can cause stomach issues, and even worth, death, depending on how severe the allergy.

Some people have minor reactions to certain allergen foods, which is being called an intolerance. While eating that food likely doesn’t pose a threat the your life, it can make you feel pretty sick for a day or two.

Celiac Disease

Celiac Disease, in essence, is an extreme allergy to gluten. Gluten is something found in wheat, barley, and rye. People with celiac have varied responses to the consumption of it, but the bad thing it does is mess up the intestines and stop your body from properly absorbing the minerals it needs to be healthy. It can cause malnutrition.

Some symptoms include diarrhea, constipation, stomach cramps, rash, and vomiting, just to name a few. If you think you have celiac, stay on regular foods in order for your doctor to do a colonoscopy to find out.

Cancer

Since there are many types of cancer, and all of them can affect your stomach and other gut regions, it makes sense to get screened for cancer if you are having many stomach issues. Ones to be most wary of are stabbing pains, burning or ripping pains, blood in the stool or vomiting blood.

While some of these things can be symptoms of other issues, it’s better to be safe than sorry. The best way to survive cancer of any kind is early detection. With any luck, if you are nauseous more often than not, you are simply pregnant or have a stomach bug.

These are just some of the more serious issues that could be plaguing your gut. If you are having a lot of abdominal pain you could have a gallbladder problem, or you could have diverticulitis. Both are aggravated by certain foods, and if you don’t want surgery you’ll need to watch your diet. The same with having diarrhea too often, which could be a sign of IBS (irritable bowel) or Crohn’s Disease. Your doctor can help you find relief, but only after they diagnose you.
