Tips For Developing A Healthy Relationship From Date #1

Healthy relationships are important, and what is healthy to one person may not be as healthy to the next. But there are some keys to developing whatever is a healthy relationship to you. And, it pays to get started on the good things right from the first date.

It’s pretty likely that you’ll date a few different people before you find one that sticks, but start each of them out the same way. Don’t treat one first date different than another, instead, go into each of them honestly.

Just Be Yourself

Trying to be someone you are not is really not good for your health. That’s why it is important to go into each relationship, yes even the first date, just being you. Of course, it is only natural to try and impress a potential partner, especially on the first date. This may mean wearing make-up, a special outfit or even applying a pheromone perfume, like the ones available form True Pheromones, for example. However, only do what makes you comfortable, and don’t try to be someone you are not. You’ll stress yourself out if you try to be a different person for each person you date.

They have a better chance of getting to know the real you this way, and you’ll make them feel more comfortable about being themselves as well. That’s one of the downfalls in many new relationships; you put on airs to be someone that person will like only for them to find out later that you were just faking it. Don’t fake it, be you,

That could mean not pretending you like something the other person is interested in, just to have something in common. Instead, realize that sometimes opposites do attract, and just because you don’t have that one thing in common doesn’t mean you won’t have other things in common.

Also, just be yourself when it comes to dress and beauty stuff. If you don’t normally wear a lot of makeup, or any for that matter, don’t feel like you need to fit into some standard on those first date. Dress like yourself, which will make you feel far more comfortable on your date.

Be Honest

All the stuff above kind of fits into this category as well; be honest about who you are and what you like, and especially what you are looking for. When you start dating someone it’s important that you are both looking for the same things, or one of you may end up wasting the other person’s time.

You don’t have to talk about marriage and kids on the first date, but it still helps to know if this is going to be a casual thing, or if you are both looking for something more. Even if you met through a dating site this might not be completely clear, so don’t be afraid to talk about it. And, even if they say they want something serious, and you don’t, don’t lie. If they like you enough to stick around and see if you’ll change your mind that’s up to them, don’t drag them along thinking you will if they might want to move on and find someone that is more sure about it.
